Our story

At Snazzy’s Dry Cleaners, we’ve been part of the Newcastle upon Tyne community since 1986, keeping the city looking sharp, fresh, and — well — snazzy! What began as a small, family-run dry cleaners has grown into a local favourite, trusted for our expertise, friendly service, and dedication to making clothes look and feel brand new. Over the decades, we’ve cleaned just about everything: wedding gowns, business suits, school uniforms, duvets, curtains, trainers, and even the odd “mystery stain” challenge. From everyday wear to once-in-a-lifetime outfits, we treat every item with care.

In 2025, Snazzy’s entered an exciting new chapter under new management. With a full rebrand and shop refit, we’ve modernised our services to make life easier for you. That means card payments, text alerts when your items are ready, and a refreshed, welcoming space where our team can continue doing what we do best. Same trusted quality, now with an extra shine.

Our seamstresses are at the heart of what we do — available every day to handle everything from quick fixes to detailed alterations. Whether you need trousers shortened, a bridesmaid dress taken in, or a wedding gown perfected, you’ll find skilled hands and plenty of experience here. We pride ourselves on our speed too: from 2–3 day turnarounds for suits to 5–7 days for wedding dresses, we’ll always aim to have you ready to step out in style.

But Snazzy’s isn’t just about clean clothes — it’s about people. We’ve grown up alongside our customers, pressing shirts for job interviews, saving dresses for last-minute weddings, and freshening up duvets at the end of every season. We know that behind every item of clothing there’s a story, and we treat each piece with the care and respect it deserves.

So whether you’re dropping in for a quick press, refreshing your wardrobe, or tackling those “too delicate to wash at home” items, you can trust us to take care of it. At Snazzy’s, we believe life’s too short for creased clothes and stubborn stains — and we’re here to keep Newcastle upon Tyne looking its very best, one garment at a time.
